I'm passionate about helping others discover their strengths and balance their lives in a hectic world. I primarily work with children and adolescents while they are dealing with challenging times in their lives including depression, anxiety, family transitions, bullying, and self-esteem issues. My therapeutic approach is strengths-based and mindfulness-centered. I utilize various models to best fit each client’s preferences and situations including Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and Play Therapy techniques. I am certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT). My educational background includes a BSW from Auburn University and a MSW from New York University. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Tennessee and Arkansas.

In my spare time I enjoy reading, spending time outdoors, exploring my neighborhood by bike, and cooking/baking for friends and family. I am always looking for new recipes to add to my collection of family recipes that have been passed down by my mother and grandmother.

Specializes in helping individuals 18+ and couples work through issues such as trauma, substance abuse, relationship challenges, or mental health struggles

Have past life experiences—such as trauma, substance use, relationship challenges, or mental health struggles—left you feeling overwhelmed or stuck? Are these challenges affecting your sense of self, your ability to trust, or your capacity to build meaningful connections?

The path to healing begins with rediscovering your truth and reconnecting with your authentic self. I’m passionate about helping individuals—adolescents, adults, families, couples, and groups—navigate challenges like anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, self- esteem issues, addiction, intimacy struggles, and life transitions. My goal is to support you in healing, establishing healthy boundaries, overcoming past wounds, and making empowered decisions that align with your true path forward.

I use a variety of therapeutic modalities, including parts work, attachment theory, family systems, and the Gottman Method for couples, to offer a personalized, holistic approach to your healing. I strive to provide a safe, non-judgmental space where we can explore your thoughts, feelings, and emotions together, guiding you toward healthier life choices and more fulfilling relationships.

I hold both my Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in social work from the University of Memphis and am a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), currently practicing under the supervision of a qualified LCSW supervisor. Originally from the Memphis metropolitan area, I enjoy spending time with my family and staying grounded in the values that guide both my personal life and practice.

It would be an honor to work with you and support you on your journey toward healing
and growth.

Works with adults and older adolescents navigating anxiety, trauma,
perfectionism, burnout, relationship challenges, grief, and life transitions.

You don't have to be falling apart to benefit from counseling. In fact, many of the people I work with have become so good at functioning that no one realizes how much they are struggling. They may be balancing demanding careers, caring for everyone else while neglecting themselves, or trying to meet expectations that leave little room to simply breathe. Others are teenagers who appear confident on the outside while quietly carrying burdens no one else can see. Whatever brought you here, my goal is to help you understand the patterns that have kept you stuck, heal what's happening beneath the surface, and move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and
hope.

My path to counseling has been anything but traditional. Before becoming a therapist, I spent more than 25 years as an award-winning journalist, executive coach, non-profit executive, and leadership consultant. Across every role, I discovered the same truth: our greatest struggles are rarely about the surface problem. They are rooted in the experiences, relationships, and beliefs that quietly shape how we see ourselves and the world around us. That realization ultimately led me to clinical counseling.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical. I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. I tailor treatment to each person's unique needs, thoughtfully integrating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and other evidence-based approaches with practical tools you can use beyond our sessions. My goal is to help you better understand yourself, heal what's happening beneath the surface, and create meaningful, lasting change.

I hold Master's Degrees in Business (Marketing) and Clinical Mental Health Counseling, as well as a Doctor of Philosophy degree. Outside the office, I enjoy traveling, practicing yoga, spending time with my family, and continuing to learn because I believe growth never has an expiration date.
